Mutual Gratitude

After our session I felt clean – light – crisp – and brimming with energy and love. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really enjoyed talking to a real live person who understood what I was going through, who wanted to help me, and who could help me in a way I wanted to be helped! — Lisa

Allow Your Child to Make Mistakes Gracefully #4

In this series, we are highlighting the art of allowing our children to make mistakes gracefully.

Compelling Reason #4

Mirrors.

Through witnessing our children’s “mistakes” and our reaction to them, we can learn about deeply held beliefs that are not serving us anymore. Take a look at the things that really push your buttons with your children. They are a goldmine of information for you to explore.

For example, the “failure” to get something done on time or “just right” may be an opportunity to look at your own relationship with completing what you want to in life, or doing things the “wrong” way to figure out how to do it another way.

The reaction we feel in relation to our children’s mistakes is more about us, than it is them. When we take the time to figure out what is fueling the reaction, we can come from a clearer place to set an example that both our children and we can learn and live from.

Children lovingly and unflinchingly hold a mirror for parents to gaze into. What do you see and what can you do to create a more favorable reflection in the mirror?

Posts at Innate Wholeness are shared with the intention of creating a shift in awareness. Please take what speaks to you and leave the rest. Thanks!
