Allow Your Child to Make Mistakes Gracefully #7

In this series, we are highlighting compelling reasons to allow your child to make mistakes gracefully.

Compelling Reason #7

Fear.

To elaborate on the idea of perfectionism, the roots clearly point to fear.

When parents resist allowing their children to make mistakes, a subtle message is heard. “Mistakes are something to fear.”

Parents can choose instead to embrace the fear and act anyway. Children feel our fear whether or not we speak about it. When you have the courage to own your own fear and still act in the world, your children will too.

What fears do you hold when it comes to making mistakes and how can you dissolve them through tuning into the truth of who you really are while taking action through the fear? How could fear be your friend?

Posts at Innate Wholeness are shared with the intention of creating a shift in awareness. Please take what speaks to you and leave the rest. Thanks!
