Refreshing Guided Relaxation
please read thoroughly before starting exercise
- Start by choosing a music you are comfortable with below in the Relaxation and Meditation timer. Set the timer for 5 or more minutes and sit comfortably.
- Inhale and exhale deeply three times, and close your eyes upon completion of the last breath.
- Continue breathing and imagine soothing water washing through you and around you as you focus on the inhale, exhale, and brief space of your breath.
- Imagine you are either in a warm shower, rejuvenating cool shower, luxurious bath, calm pool or one of nature’s rivers, lakes, or oceans. Whatever brings you a feeling of ease.
- With each breath, feel yourself becoming more one with the water, letting it lull you into a place of release. In, out, space, simple flowing of breath… as water.
- Continue with this relaxation as long as you desire.
- When the timer stops or you feel like you are finished, take three deep breaths and open your eyes.
- Notice any sensations and/or experiences you felt while in meditation and take some to write about the experience if you feel moved to do so.
Taking time for you as often as feels good to you will help you become more in touch with yourself in many ways. You are worth the time you take alone with yourself to just bring life down a few notches!
